Just cuz it's time to post SOMETHING

Hey folks!

I'm 2 days into my sabbatical (read: taking the autumn quarter off for the wedding/honeymoon and AM SO GLAD I DID) and I am starting to gather my thoughts to post about our wedding plans. I mentioned before that we were trying to make it as sustainable and responsible an event as possible: something to celebrate our union while at the same time minimizing our impact and making it as conscious as we can.

Mind you, I know there is much more we could have done. But we're doing what we can, and considering everything, I'm really happy to have found the alternatives we have.

I'll post more - hopefully addressing an aspect of our wedding a day - but I just wanted to say "hey!' and that, six weeks away, this is the first time I can really start to enjoy the wedding plans since we got engaged, nine months ago.

Holy cow, it's been a while

I know, I'm fired.

I can't even begin to explain how busy we've been - unless you've planned a wedding too. Then you already know.

Add to that grad school and full time jobs and, well, hopefully you can understand why I've been so quiet over here.

I promise, in another couple of weeks I will update the blog and let you know what we've been up to and how the plans are going.
