Voting

So I woke up this morning to the exciting news that Obama and Clinton (I refuse to refer to her as Hillary) are neck and neck. It finally (after 8 helpless years) felt like what they say is true: my vote did count.
That is, until I started reading up on the whole delegate/super-delegate system that pretty much renders the general populace voting process a moot point.
Seriously?
What the fuck is the point?
I don't need the practice - I think I've got the whole voting thing down, thank you very much.
It's almost enough to turn me Republican.
